Cray is one of the most venerable names in supercomputing, but it’s still finding new initiatives. In March Cray announced the launch of the CX1000 system, a “rack-mounted supercomputer” that gives the company a supercomputing solution at every level of the high performance (HPC) server market. in this five-minute video, Cray President and CEO Peter Ungaro and Richard Dracott, Intel’s General Manager of High Performance Computing, discuss the introduction of the Cray CX1000 supercomputer and its fit with Cray’s Adaptive Supercomputing vision.
