According to a report from McKinsey & Company, a single data center uses as much energy as 25,000 homes. Plus, as of this year, U.S. data centers are expected to use more energy than can be produced by 10 new power plants! IT capacity growth has resulted in data centers consuming up to 100 times more energy per square foot than a typical office building.
