Dell to Acquire Cloud Integration Solution Boomi

Dell (www.dell.com) announced on Tuesday it will acquire software as a service integration provider Boomi (www.boomi.com) to help businesses fully benefit from cloud computing. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The move comes just a month after Dell completed its acquisition of cloud storage provider 3PAR for $2.35 billion.
Powered by AtomSphere technology, Boomi is a SaaS application integration platform that provides a cost-effective way of integrating applications by allowing easy transfer of data between cloud-based and on-premise applications without using any hardware, software, or coding.
