Terremark to Host FCC on Enterprise Cloud

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is embracing cloud computing and will use Terremark’s Enterprise Cloud platform to host its web site, the agency said today. The move is part of a broader effort by the FCC to improve its online services to citizens, which will include a comprehensive redesign of FCC.gov and its online systems.
The Enterprise Cloud provides the FCC with on-demand access to computing resources delivered through an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform that is certified to meet the requirements of the Federal Information Security Managements Act (FISMA).
