DCDFOCUS: In 2008 Siemens opened its new Siemens Center Beijing, which according to Siemens is a cutting-edge and environmentally friendly 30-storey building covering 17,500 m sq. Can you tell us what makes this data center so significant, in terms of China and the broader Asia Pacific region?
Yun Rui Feng: The Siemens Data Center supports over 20,000 users in China alone (both Siemens businesses and external customers), and many more throughout North East Asia. It is Siemen’s largest and most advanced data center in Asia. Many of the products and systems featured in the Beijing center are from Siemens, including the fire safety and security systems.
