October 25, 2011 -- Web hosting provider SoftLayer Technologies announced on Tuesday it has opened a new European headquarters and data center in Amsterdam. SoftLayer first announced it selected Amsterdam for its European headquarters and first data center, along with naming Jonathan Wisler general manager for its European Operations.
