UK Web Host SunGard Names Two Senior Executives

UK web hosting provider SunGard Availability Services (www.sungard.co.uk) announced on Thursday it has appointed two senior level executives to help expand its footprint in the UK and European markets.
The move comes a few months after SunGard announced it will integrate security solutions from Alert Logic into its suite of managed security services.
Mike Threlfall has been appointed to the newly created position of European, UK&I consulting and software director.
In this position, Threlfall will build upon his previous role as head of consulting and software to drive growth across SunGard's consulting practice and to increase the penetration of its BCM software products in the UK and Europe.
He has almost 30 years experience in the IT industry ranging from product specification, design, implementation and support in different environments through systems design for major projects, technical consultancy and, for the last 15 years, Practice Management.
