Cloud Computing Provider Agilisys Wins 15 Million IaaS Contract

1. Cloud computing provider Agilisys announced on Thursday that it has won a three-year contract to provide process technology company PDX with managed infrastructure-as-a-service. The contract is valued at approximately $1.5 million. This announcement comes about a month after Agilisys launched Agilisys Cloud Services, its managed IaaS that provides a suite of cloud services in its UK data centers. It also appointed David Cotterell to lead the new division. According to the press release, this service will streamline PDX's IT infrastructure and include hosting, storage, provisoining of Microsoft technologies, backup and desktop support. Agilisys says PDX provides technologies across a wide range of industries to ensure processes are more efficient. PDX claims its ambitious growth plans were behind the decision to use cloud services to simplify IT systems management, increase visibility and control of IT processes.
