CyrusOne Plans 700,000 SF Dallas Data Center

It’s said that they like things big in Texas, and that’s certainly true of the new CyrusOne data center near Dallas. The 700,00 square foot building will feature more than 400,000 square feet of data center space , the company said Thursday in announcing details of the facility, which we first noted last month.
CyrusOne, a unit of Cincinnati Bell, specializes in high-density colocation. The company is in the midst of an aggressive expansion of its data center footprint to meet demand from a customer list that includes 15 of the top global 100 companies and five of the top 10. The company says it expects the Dallas facility will be the largest data center in Texas – which is likely true for dedicated stand-alone data centers, although the multi-tenant Infomart carrier hotel in Dallas is larger at 1.6 million square feet.
