What are the primary factors you consider when you choose where to build a data center? In a new video, Cisco IT Architect Douglas Alger discusses the 10 factors that Cisco considers in its site selection process. “A server environment’s location influences everything from physical security to availability to how much it costs to run, potentially raising or lowering operating expenses by hundreds of thousands of dollars per year,” Alger writes on the Inside Cisco IT blog. The video is part of Algers’ “Data Center Deconstructed” series.
