Web Host Interoute Launches Virtual Data Center Infrastructure as a Service

Web hosting provider Interoute announced on Thursday that it has launched Virtual Data Centre, its infrastructure as a service offering for enterprises.
According to the press release, Interoute’s virtual data center is built into the fabric of its pan-European network so organizations can deploy virtual computing and storage infrastructure for their enterprise applications. Built into the MPLS/IP network, organizations are assured of optimal routing, security, performance and end-to-end SLAs of 99.99 percent.
With this new offering, organizations can have the convenience of the public cloud with the security of a private cloud. Interoute says its network infrastructure provides the security of a private cloud, while the pay per use model makes it as cost effective as a public cloud.
