There are legacy systems and data integration issues, spiraling costs for cooling and powering racks of servers, concerns over integration, security, outsourcing and virtualization--as well as data storage overload. Collectively, these interactions are enough to make any CIO throw up their hands in frustration. But what happens when corporate acquisitions are thrown into the mix, each with its own flavor of these same problems?
