Web Host SingleHop Expands into Phoenix via IO Data Center
Chicago-based web hosting provider SingleHop announced this week that it would expand its operations into a new , modular 2,500 square-foot data center in Phoenix, Arizona, using a facility operated by IO, a national data center provider with a significant Phoenix presence. The expansion is big news for SingleHop, which announced its first-ever round of funding last week, closing on $27.5 million in funding from battery ventures. While the new facility deal has undoubtedly been in the works since long before the financing was closed, geographic expansion is exactly the kind of project that significant financing can help to facilitate.
