    Defense IT Specialist NJVC Adding Data Centers

    NJVC, which specializes in IT services for government agencies, is expanding its infrastructure with a new data center in Richmond, Virginia, where it will host customers inside a 1.3 million square foot data center campus. The new facility is part of NJVC’s effort to develop a geographically diverse data center footprint, which the company said will protect its customers’ data from weather-related outages like the recent incidents in northern Virginia. NJVC, which is a major provider of IT services for the Department of Defense, said it also expects to open a new data center in Reno, Nevada in July. The company is headquartered in Vienna, Va. and has multiple data centers in the St. Louis market. NJVC manages its facilities using a “data center within a data center” approach with strategic infrastructure suppliers.
