Anyone would tell you that the power scenario has only worsened over the years. As a country, India has always faced perennial power shortages and instances of power fluctuation. The situation gets worse as one moves towards the tier 2 and tier 3 cities which are often hubs for SMBs and where daily power cuts are known to last for several hours at a stretch. In the enterprise space, critical business applications require an uninterrupted supply of fine grade power to maintain business continuity, ready availability and business uptime even when the power from the main utility fails.
