With a host of industry awards and landmark projects to its credit, Chicago’s Environmental Systems Design, Inc. is one of the country’s leading data center design and engineering firms. Having completed a DaCEY Award-winning Green Data Center of the Year for Allstate, ESD is currently the lead architect/engineer for a 315,000 square-foot data center facility on Chicago’s Near South Side. The JRM Technology LLC data center is the first such facility in downtown Chicago, and will be seeking LEED Gold certification upon its completion next year.
Paul Schlattman is the V.P. of ESD’s Mission Critical Facilities Group. We asked him to give us the lowdown on design trends for these high-powered facilities.
