1. About Network World

    Network World is a weekly IT publication that provides news and information to network executives.

    It was started in 1986 by parent company International Data Group as a spin-off of Computerworld. In 1995 Network World launched a Web site called Network World Fusion which it renamed NetworkWorld.com in 2005. The [http://www.networkworld.com/ site] is updated daily with news, features, product reviews and tests, opinions, blogs, videos and podcasts and includes a blog written by popular columnist Mark Gibbs.

    In 2006, Network World diversified, taking over the management of two online-only IDG titles: LinuxWorld, and JavaWorld.

    Network World's Events arm holds many conferences and seminars each year, including [http://www.demo.com Demo].

    The company's headquarters is in Southborough, Massachusetts.
