Nimble Data Centers The time-tested model where CIOs could count their servers and dole out the space on those machines to the neediest business units is being replaced by a dynamic and much more virtual approach. The goal is to provision and re-provision services as needed by an increasingly complex enterprise that includes everything from multiple types of cloud computing--internal, external, secure and non-secure--to social networking and mission-critical applications. But flexibility comes at a significant cost. It's now harder to keep track of all the devices accessing corporate data, and it's much, much more difficult to keep track of the data.
